- Txt Ur BFF L8R! Don’t DWT. Don’t text or email while driving - even at stop signs or red lights.
- Email doesn’t have an expiration date - why check it while driving? Put your blackberry or handheld in your purse, briefcase or console so it is unaccessible. If you are still tempted - consider turning it off.
- Limit or exclude use of other gadgets such as Ipods, laptops and other handheld and electronic devices.
- Don’t Apply and Drive! Get your beauty routine down at home. If you must re-apply - wait until you park.
- “Free Your Focus - Go Handsfree.” While research shows that talking on your cell phone in general is still a distraction, using a headset is better than holding the phone to your ear.
- Don’t Focus on Food, Focus On the Road®. Your car should not be a kitchen - eat at home, work, school or inside your favorite take-out joint.
- Let it go! Pull over if you need to look, reach for or find something.
- Review driving directions beforehand or consider a navigation system.
